One Dimensional Array (1-D)

Write a C++ Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D) . Here’s simple Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D) in C++ Programming Language.

What is an Array ?

Arrays a kind of data structure that can store a fixed-size sequential collection of elements of the same type. An array is used to store a collection of data, but it is often more useful to think of an array as a collection of variables of the same type.

Instead of declaring individual variables, such as number0, number1, …, and number99, you declare one array variable such as numbers and use numbers[0], numbers[1], and …, numbers[99] to represent individual variables. A specific element in an array is accessed by an index.

All arrays consist of contiguous memory locations. The lowest address corresponds to the first element and the highest address to the last element.

To print one dimensional array in C++ programming, you have to ask to the user to enter array size and array elements to store all the array elements in one dimensional and then print array in 1-D using one for loop.

Here is source code of the C++ Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D). The C++ program is successfully compiled and run(on Codeblocks) on a Windows system. The program output is also shown in below.

SOURCE CODE : :

/*  C++ Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D) */

#include<iostream>
using namespace std;

int main()
{

        int arr[50], m,j;

        cout<<"Enter size of Array ( Max:50 ) :: ";
    cin>>m;
    cout<<"\nEnter Elements to Array Below :: \n";

        for(j=0;j<m;++j)
        {
            cout<<"\nEnter arr["<<j<<"] Element :: ";
            cin>>arr[j];
        }

        cout<<"\nThe Elements in the Array are :: \n\n";
        for(j=0; j<m; j++)
        {
                cout<<arr[j]<<"  ";
        }

        cout<<"\n";
        return 0;
}

OUTPUT : :

/*  C++ Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D) */

Enter size of Array ( Max:50 ) :: 8

Enter Elements to Array Below ::

Enter arr[0] Element :: 8

Enter arr[1] Element :: 7

Enter arr[2] Element :: 6

Enter arr[3] Element :: 5

Enter arr[4] Element :: 4

Enter arr[5] Element :: 3

Enter arr[6] Element :: 2

Enter arr[7] Element :: 1

The Elements in the Array are ::

8  7  6  5  4  3  2  1

Process returned 0

Above is the source code for C++ Program for One Dimensional Array (1-D) which is successfully compiled and run on Windows System.The Output of the program is shown above .
